Gaasbeek Castle

Located in Lennik, the castle was nicknamed 'most romantic castle in Belgium'. It was erected around 1240 and is owned by the flemish Community. I carried out several restoration works there in 2022 and 2023. Among other things, I returned the wooden windows, panelling and doors to their original wood colour and imitated this colour on the new additions, I retouched wall paintings, imitated blue stone and treated the wooden ceilings against woodworm.
